Not listening to employees

Pros

Company is stable and hasn't experienced layoffs. Some members of leadership are encouraging and helpful.

Cons

Doesn't listen to what employees want. CEO wants people back in the office, so a quick decision was made to bring people back to the office (even though company surveys showed a strong desire for remote work and flexibility). Company says they want to be flexible on RTO policies, but run badge reports to make sure employees meet their minimum days in the office. Employees are overworked and expected workload cannot be accomplished within the normal workweek. Agents get an annual conference with recognition and awards (including some sizable bonuses). Home office employees get minimal merit increases, no bonuses and no programs for recognition during the year. Salaries are low compared to others in the market.

Pros

ACE Culture, PTO plan, 401k, and FIRST culture.

Cons

Went through quite a bit of discrimination over the years with American National, starting with their former CFO, down to Current/past CTS Leadership. My first year was great until they removed an incredibly good Manager and replaced them with someone who threw the bible at me when asking personal questions about my sexual orientation. The current Leadership has no concept of how to run an IT department. They hire inexperienced technicians and are expected to do the work of a level 3 person with no development plan. Leadership comes up with these bogus ideas and runs with them without any thought or planning. Rather than actually coming up with development planning, current Management chooses to come up with Conspiracy Theories that people are out after their job. They will tell you one thing, and do another, constant lying. I can't stress enough, this is the worse Leadership I've ever experienced.

Pros

I can not provide one pro for working for this company.

Cons

I would not recommend working for a company that has such poor management and high demands. They do not promote within from my experience and require more than a 37.5 hour work week as they advise.
