Pros

I worked with a fabulous team at American Pest who I am very proud of and know will have much success in the future. Some of the pros I observed while there are: -Culture is conducive to education, teamwork, building relationships, and involvement in projects that may be of interest to you -Hands-on training -American Pest does a really great job empowering growth with professional development -Values-driven management -A growing company with many opportunities -Bonusly- a recognition and reward program- my son loved the Playstation gift cards -Virtual meetings with President monthly

Cons

That meeting could have been an email... lots of meetings, but I always enjoyed connecting with my co-workers.

Pros

Working from home is the only pro

Cons

American Pest is just buying every small, local pest control company up and down the east coast and running them into the ground, but not before they raise everyone’s prices 70%+. They treat employees like they don’t matter, especially if you came from one of the small companies they buy. I started having severe depression and when I told my supervisor, I was told that my job was getting phased out and to apply for a different position where I was then told I didn’t work hard/fast enough for that position and said there were no other positions available for me. Which is the opposite of what they told us when they bought my company (endless opportunity and several different departments to move to). Technicians are constantly no showing because they’re so overbooked by under trained schedulers. Not enough managers for all the angry customers demanding to speak to one. Now they are REFUSING to give me the Bonusly points that I EARNED while working there which equals to hundreds of dollars. My only regret was not quitting sooner when they bought the small company I worked for.
