Pros
They do try to take care of their employees. They also seem to try to take care of their residents. They try to offer nice incentives, awards, raises and such for team players. Most senior staff are approachable.
Cons
Because they do not pay BETTER then the competition, they have a high turn over in nursing and housekeeping. Because of this, there is never enough staff on the floor, and it's stressful for the few that are working to keep up with the jobs. Residents families are frustrated at not being able to find nurses on the floor when they are needed. They are very difficult to reach if in a residents room. There fore the residents don't get the attention they really need. The younger and less experienced workers are not good, or are inappropriate with residents, and forget they are in the RESDENTS home. Staff is lazy, on their cells, playing around, having boyfriends in the building when no supervisors are around. They belittle and disregard residents. Pay needs to be raised for nursing and housekeeping employees!! They are on their feet constantly and are the ones who do the most work! Company needs to have more respect for workers and residents. When staff is pulling constant doubles, and then coming right back to do another because the facility can't keep staff..., it is a detriment to everyone, and everything. It trickles down through every department and every person..., including the residents. Although most residents say the food is "ok", it usually looks like dog food. Never looks appealing. Desserts are many times the best part of the meals, although the cakes are often very dry and other desserts can have almost no taste. workers can be bad about washing hands as often as they should. If Staff are going to work while ill, it needs to be mandatory that they wear a mask while in the kitchen and while handling food.
