Pros

Steady flow of income because you normally have work in most programs, sympathetic supervisors on some programs, paid breaks, decent and fair employee benefits. Good call center experience. Friendly work environment. Plenty of personal desk space for each employee.

Cons

No raises ever, hard to get promoted, if you miss a day for any reason whatsoever even if you have a doctor's note you will be docked in your pay by your hourly rate. On the program I worked at the hourly pay was 9.00 per hour. If you missed a day for like an emergency even with a doctors note you were docked to 8.00 then to minimum wage if your doctor told you due to the illness to stay home one more day. Only go to doctors appointments if you can schedule them two weeks ahead of time. Call monitoring tends to be unfair because one supervisor will monitor your calls one way and give you a specific grade then another supervisor will do it another way and completely contradict what you were told by a different supervisor. You will get written up for every little infraction or hair out of place even if its the computers faults which it normally is. Scripts are poorly written, screens are often slow, callers are put on hold numerous times for technical difficulties.

Pros

In this economy, you are lucky to get paid $10.00 an hour. Certain programs at Ameridial do not work weekends or holidays. We also work 9-5 so the hours are good so that you can get home to your kids and always have your evenings and weekends free.

Cons

This company does not give raises, you will be stuck at $10/hr no matter which program you work on. They work on a sliding tier for your hourly rate. As long as you don't miss any time you will make $10/hr. If you are late or miss an hour of work, your pay goes down to $8.50/hr. If you miss more than an hour that week your pay goes all the way down to $7.75/hr. It does NOT matter why you were late, if you were in a car accident or the emergency room you still get paid close to minimum wage even for events that are out of your control. There is no negotiation and no passes. Even if you work 4 days straight without being late and you get into some type of emergency situation Friday then you get paid $7.75 an hour! It is a terrible company to work for. If your child have a game or program you will never be able to attend. You have to choose doctors that work on Saturdays because you will never be able to see a doctor on a weekday.
