Pros

Working for Amerit has unfortunately more cons than pros. I’d say the pros of working a position like this would be the independence of the position, and the company provided technology (phone and laptop). I can confidently say looking back at my time with Amerit, those are the only two things I can pull as positive.

Cons

This list genuinely affected my work and how I performed. • Management is NOT communicative, it was literally pulling teeth just to get someone to communicate with you (unless they had something to say to you, if at all, always negative). But if you needed them, good luck. It was unfortunate given the provided technology. Texts, calls, and emails were useless. The nearest base with management was three hours away, so it feels like you’re stranded. And when servicing a not so friendly customer, or not having the supplies you need, that can cause a lot of issues along with feeling that management does not care to make time for you. • The supplies/work equipment. This was a MAJOR issue. When I first started, the truck they provided was trashed and reeked of cigarettes, and none of the “equipment” was in functioning condition. The jack stand was broken, the compressor had a massive air leak, and there was no 1 inch torque wrench provided for torquing tires. Amerit claims to be a “shop on wheels”, but my entire time working there was spent having to depend on my customers shop supplies to complete my job because none of my equipment was in good standing. And when I asked for better/repaired equipment, it was a broken promise of getting it repaired.. they refused to get me a bench vice because of it “being too expensive”. Lastly, the overall environment and how you will feel being an employee here. My advice to the person reading this? Steer clear. Even though the company is focused around technicians, you will not feel appreciated nor taken care of. It’s little stuff like a hat, hoodie, or even the time of day from management that helps you feel like they care.. Amerit lacks even the basics in that regard.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback about your experience with Amerit. We’re sorry to hear that your time with us was frustrating and that you felt unsupported, particularly regarding communication, equipment readiness, and overall employee experience. That is not the standard we aim to provide for our technicians. We recognize how critical timely communication, reliable equipment, and adequate resources are for mobile technicians to perform their work safely and effectively, especially when operating independently and at a distance from management. Your comments around equipment condition, responsiveness, and feeling valued are taken seriously and are areas we continually work to improve as we evolve our processes, leadership alignment, and field support structure. We appreciate you sharing both the positives and the challenges of your experience, as candid feedback helps us identify gaps and drive meaningful improvements. If you would be open to connecting further to discuss your experience in more detail, we welcome that conversation and encourage you to reach out directly at mregan@ameritfleet.com . We wish you the best in your future endeavors and thank you again for sharing your perspective.

Pros

I had a great supervisor

Cons

Working a contract for AT&T is almost impossible. They'll tell you to do one thing one day and the next day it is wrong and you're fired
