Pros
Amgen has excellent compensation and excellent benefits, a strong budget for each department which equates to cutting edge technologies, first class facilities, and highly educated employees.
Cons
It is very easy to get pigeon-holed into doing one thing at Amgen and no one gets to have ownership over anything because every project is shared. It seemed like there was a lot of competition between sites instead of collaboration. As with any large company, there is a little bit of complacency.
