I work on products that are saving lives every day. My management promotes and supports continuous development on and off the job. I work with other smart people to solve the some of the most important and challenging problems in our society.
Cons
Amgen is a grew from a small biotech into a large company that still has not developed all of the right systems. Regulatory and human safety requirements impose constraints and create difficulties that are unimaginable in many other industries. We sell our products in a complex operating environment with new competitors, legal issues, ethical challenges, and risky science. These operating challenges make the most simple tasks difficult.
