Pros

Amica cares about both its customers and its employees. All decisions made at a high management level take employee happiness into consideration while also maintaining a balance budget

Cons

Mobility is an issue. In order to gain access to higher levels of management and 'climb the ladder' you must be mobile. This means being hired into the Future Leaders program and be willing to relocate to any of our 20+ offices nationwide

Pros

There is no pros to this company. They keep reducing their benefits or charging more for the benefits. They reward account managers or managers but have lost touch with who is the real bread and butter of this company, their front line reps. The people who handle the calls.

Cons

I have been an employee of this company in excess of 25 years. Each year has progressively got worse. I should have left years ago because I have wasted my talent with this company. If you had asked me 15 years ago I was in love with this company, but after the last 10 years I wished I had left. The benefits used to be good, now they are meager at best. Management Threatens reps with be written up or fired if you don't agree. You are not encouraged to have an opinion or an idea of your own. You are only a robot or a pawn to be used by them. If you have a useful idea and share it management, they will capture it as their own and you will not receive credit. They have their favorites employees and if you are not one of them, you will not be heard or promoted. If you go to HR on anything, they tell you it is private, but that is a lie. They might as well get on a mega phone and tell the whole company because that is how it is treated there is no open door policy with management. If you have a problem in your office and you go to HR. HR tells you it is confidential but then management calls you in and tells you they know you went to HR on them and that going over their heads is grounds for dismissal. They will also inform you that HR has given them permission to fire you if you contest.
