Pros

Lucky to have a supervisor who is very flexible with respect to taking care of family needs and WFH priorities.

Cons

The pay stinks, plain and simple. The company provides us a snapshot of Total Rewards, which tells me my compensation is $30k more than my actual salary.

Thank you for your review and feedback. When it comes to pay, we'd like to note that the Total Rewards package we offer is a combination of pay and benefits that is competitive in our industry. Our Total Rewards portal is designed to showcase to our employees the value of working for Amica beyond the normal paycheck, which accounts for additional compensation such as variable pay and incentives, and Amica’s costs of providing benefits such as healthcare coverage, for example. We'd be happy to discuss your experience and concerns with you further, so please email us at employeefeedback@amica.com if you're interested in getting in touch. Thank you again.

Pros

Financially solid company, you will never be laid off. Nice people. Management can be great, like any company it is a crap shoot. Had a terrible boss, a great boss and a mediocre boss over the course of my 30 year career.

Cons

Claims adjusting position is rough work level wise, I had a lot of 70+ hour weeks. I've been retired for awhile now, currently working as an independent adjuster. If I handled the volume of work as an IA that I handled at Amica I'd be making about 250K a year. I don't work that hard anymore as life is too short. Spent 30 years there and have been on a pension for awhile now. I would have left earlier if not for the no longer available golden handcuffs though.

Life work balance, good benefits, and a fun atmosphere.

The pay could be better, and less micro-managing.
