OK place to start a career. 9-5 job. Work life-balance is fine. Lot of politics. Academic leaders do not have substantial research credentials.They do not set good examples.

Cons

Mixed crowd in faculty. No employment benefits like PF,Housing, etc. No quality research - only focus is on numbers and not on A grade publications. Faculty have started taking easy routes for phd from infamous places. Faculty is involved in trivial tasks that take away most of their time. not enough growth opportunities if you want to scale higher in research and academics. Average students.
