Terrible Company & Culture

Pros

Nothing really, it was a waste of my time and energy, better to be unemployed than work in this place

Cons

Low Pay compared to international universities Bullying and harassment by line managers & HR Harassment & Dirty Politics by co-workers culture of no work and only dirty politics from top to bottom You are an at-will employee meaning you will be fired anytime, not based on performance but "attitude" according to deranged line managers and management, they have a filthy attitude to employees Line managers are incompetent and are hired mostly because they bow down to the Chauhan family and have been 'in service' for years, not because they know their niche. As a result key areas like Admissions and other revenue streams don't function like they should, because line managers and heads of admissions don't know anything, lower rung salespeople get the revenue of the company and are discarded periodically. Line managers just come to work to enjoy pay and benefits and treat the office like their drawing rooms. Dubai Campuses are completely run like a Dhaba not like a professional office.

Pros

If you can speak English, wear good clothes, possess extra sugar-coated tongue, can't dare to speak the truth and have nothing better to do, this place offers you the best employment opportunity. A jar of butter would always help in increments and promotions.

Cons

There is only one supreme rule in Amity that, "There is no rule". Indian Labour Laws don't exist here, no regular increments, no DA, no PF, no Gratuity and leave rules which changes anytime as per the will of gods (also known as Cx, where x=1,2,3,........n). One day you'll find 30 accumulated SL in your leave ledger, next day they vanish. No difference between Asst./Associate of full Professor's salary, it's all arbitrary. There is no correlation between efforts, hard work and pay. Teachers have to do everything here from classroom arrangement to seating arrangements, security, parking duty, clerical jobs, hostel toilet and fixture check, night guard duty etc. Ethics, values, hard work, morality, quality consciousness, rightfulness, self-respect, dignity such words are only spoken here to impress outsiders but have no relevance in Amity's work culture. Everyone is exploited fairly and equally, without any discrimination students, teachers, staff, directors, vendors etc. and if you help management in exploiting others, you are rewarded for the same.
