Came to Amtrak with hope and dreams of providing for my family, me and working hard and just wanting to do good. I work for a company that judges a book by its cover, listens to the wrong employees and basis there decisions on what they hear. I have no beef with upper management, Joe B is a great guy (Meet him a number of times -he is top notch. maybe even better then Clator (maybe).
I do my job endlessly day in and day out endlessly every week. I receive a letter today in the mail telling me I am not doing my job and in so many words (Shape up). Retraced my steps and I know I did everything within my powers to do the best I can.
I am sad that this company really knows nothing of its employees except what they hear from select individuals who have no right passing judgement.
Yesterday i received a letter saying a customer was not happy with my service.
Today I will be teaching a class at New York University as an adjunct professor.
Funny thing - a couple of years ago i put in an application for the training dept and they told me I am not qualified, but yet I teach graduate students on a weekly basis.
