Pros
plenty of *butt* time, and a lot of the work is enjoyable. and there is a big feeling of pride when you're away from work and you see the train you just worked speeding past you.
Cons
however, many of the people you interface with are bad communicators. they expect you to read their mind, and treat you rudely when that doesnt work. this extends up into management especially. definitely a fairly conservative environment as well. seemed like for several roles they only hired men. in a related note, the cleaner jobs were disproportionately occupied by women. as well, I heard stories of transphobic events taking place there. and I personally experienced many uncomfortable stares when it would come up in conversation that I was gay.
