      Pros

      Good company to work for and start your career. Lots of different positions and they promote from within often. Once you get to a craft abs your maxed out in pay there’s no where else to go unless you get in to management. You can definitely make more money elsewhere as a journeyman OT is becoming harder to come by but the work environment is not as demanding as it will be out there.

      When I first joined Amtrak it was perfect, amazing and kind management that listened to employees , great perks, rewards and parties for achievements etc

      Cons

      Once new management came in all of that declined quickly..Amtrak is literally collapsing from the inside out in every way, from customer experience to employee satisfaction to infrastructure..very sad to see
