Due to the long respected history and success of the company, you see a lot of people that have worked at the company for many years. The company has targeted key markets offering highest revenue growth and margins relative to the industry. There is a general sense of pride to work for the company.
Cons
The company is very slow to adopt change, hindering process improvement, competitive edge, cross functional collaboration, and efficiencies. There is an extreme communication gap on a cross functional level. The company may encourage new thinking and process improvement in theory but does not have a vehicle nor culture allowing adoption nor consideration of change. There is a lack of sense of urgency addressing internal requests on a cross function level.
