Pros

I like working at Anaplan. In my 4+ years here, I have had the opportunity to support Employee Development team, HR ops team, and Compensation team. Along with that I am also a Model builder for Anaplan. The cross functional movement at Anaplan allowed me to get a holistic perspective of how critical HR function is for the growth of the Company and how using Anaplan as a platform can accelerate that. Anaplan's collaborative culture allows for a ton of opportunities for Career expansion. You get to participate in stretch projects where innovation and curiosity is valued by the leaders, and which supports your growth as a professional. Anaplan is a global company so you learn from your peers in different geo's as well. Anaplan has one of the most competitive total rewards package with great benefits. Managed PTO is a plus.

Cons

Anaplan is going through a transition and so the work can be intense and challenging.

Pros

They have some talented intelligent people.

Cons

Recent hiring trend is clearly biased towards one group. Overall focus is short sited.

Pros

The product is still one of the few out there doing what it does - but new entrants are emerging like Board, etc.' The salary out of the gate was very good.

Cons

My experience with the sales managers and former CEO of the company was lackluster. Frank Caldaroni's application of Cy Wakeman's No Ego mentality was completely flawed and failed to take into account the weaknesses of the management - not the employee. I saw rampant favoritism and extremely weak enablement programs. Anaplan has a very challenged approach to supporting partners and a very strange approach to Customer Success. I hardly understand how this function came to exist and never saw any value as a result. The company tries to make it look like they are a big supporter of DEI initiatives but reality is that it's a white Silicon Valley Tech Bro culture.

Anaplan Response

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you felt well compensated and that we offer a game-changing product. Anaplan is solving C-level problems for some of the world’s largest and most complex organizations, and we’re proud of the value we are delivering. Thanks to our customer success team, we offer a world-class customer experience that empowers our customers so we can achieve incredible outcomes for their business together. I can’t speak to the previous leadership team at Anaplan, but what I can speak to is the passion Anaplanners have for building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture where people feel they belong. We recently shared our multi-year DEIB strategy with employees, and while we have work to do, I’m excited to make measurable progress. To reinforce our commitment, our CEO recently signed the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion pledge, the largest business-led initiative for advancing DEI in the workplace. We wish you the best in your future endeavors. - Carey Pellock, Chief People Officer
