The Juice is Worth the Squeeze
Pros
If you want access to collaborate with some of the most talented and creative individuals across SaaS and Enterprise Business - look no further. Great support network and ability to accelerate your career at a public company that still feels a lot like a burgeoning start-up. I began my career as an SDR and was always treated as an equal to my rep's business and strategic goals. Grinding it out with humility and curiosity helped keep me focused on the end goal of joining field sales. It took a lot of rejection both externally and internally to finally break through. A few pros: Benefits are awesome (ex. I leverage Lyra for free therapy to keep working on myself) / Health coverage is awesome / ESPP is great plus the equity grants have kept me committed to the long-term vision. Access to broader org is there. Great mentoring from many individuals. Compensation is competitive - ask for what you want and you're likely to get it! I could go on and on but it's the people that have kept me at Anaplan for almost 3 years now.
Cons
Anaplan can be a lot of things to a lot of people which makes it hard to triangulate - simplicity helps sell but then again - that's our job. Upwards mobility from the SDR org is a tough cookie to crack - it takes more than hitting your number
