Pros

The younger generation of partners are great people to work for and learn from. Good PCS practice but lots of growth needed for other areas.

Cons

No respect from the older generation of partners. No work life balance unless all work complete. Promotions are done by favorites or a business purpose not performance.

Pros

The firm has great flexible work arrangements. Mostly operate like a small accounting firm. Some partners have good technical skills.

Cons

Communication is unique: Financial information commentary reflects lack of understanding of the business (for example, assuming that employees are not working hard in periods where there is less work based on our seasonal business). . The inner circle seems to hide important information from remainder of firm (profit sharing changes, investments in branding, etc.) until the last minute. Passive-aggressive behaviors are tolerated too often. Lack of national firm vision and strategic planning that can be implemented within the confines of the firm's limitations. Pay needs to reflect the changing marketplace at all levels. Benefits need to reflect the changing marketplace at all levels.

Decent Job

Pros

Flexibility, learning opportunities, challenging work, breaking new ground in industry, good locations -- in major cities, decent benefits - not great - just decent.

Cons

No diversity at top levels, hard to break out of specialty if you didn't choose to be in it, juuuuust a little underpaid, compared to effort and competitors.
