Pros
Self starting- you are able to work for the most part independent in the field. You have mostly ( at the time ) very little interaction with the higherups. Unless necessary. If you like working with your hands. Its a great job.
Cons
You will be blamed for things you have no control over. If some ting goes wrong . you intantly are depersonalized and turned into " merchandiser" by your manager. You will be subject to racial harrasment. Even if upper-management undertands this from personal experience; they will ignore it.
