Pros

Dynamic, people believe in what they are doing and are friendly, Some innovation areas are exciting. If you like beer or the beer industry, it can be exciting.

Cons

- Company does not care about anyone - only bottom line - If you don't have the right manager you'll end up with the most ridiculous tasks - Bonus compensation too high - after September nobody will collaborate, only work on their targets - Bureaucracy is ridiculous - budget season starts in August/September but final budgets are known around March/April of following year BUT targets are set way before budgets are known. - Be prepared to work very long hours. It shows commitment but, more importantly, it is needed because the work habits are so bad, you will need to. People are frequently double/triple and quadruple booked for meetings but never bother to inform they will not appear, so expect to spend hours at night preparing a presentation for a meeting with a manager the following day which will not take place because he (almost always a he) will not appear nor even bother telling you so until about half an hour after the meeting started and you asked him where he is (this happened so often to me I can't even count). - Prepare yourself to be all the time in meetings you have no idea what they are for and why you are there only to see more than half of the people working on their laptops or typing on their phones because they are in the same situation as you or really don't give a toss. - Movement of people leads to ridiculously low levels of knowledge amongst managers - they seem to believe 1 year in a new position makes one an expert (this is so stupid it makes me cry) - Salary scale stops technical experts from growing if they don't get promoted to director positions. This means some experts who are not good people managers (or do not wish to be so) but bring ridiculous levels of value to the company end up being paid less than multiple "powerpoint managers/directors" whose only qualification is making nice presentations to their own managers and speaking in company lingo. - The company lingo is idiotic and makes no sense. People regularly confuse KPIs, Milestones, Deliverables. - Extremely not diverse. A company which started in Brazil, includes USA, Africa and multiple other latin-american countries has almost no non-white people. Still dominated by Brazilian men. - The "Dreams" are idiotic. Presently it is something about futures with cheers (WTF is that?). During my time it was "Bringing people together for a better world" as if they were Bob Geldof and Live Aid (not to management: if you want to make it a better world, stop making beer and wasting the resources to do so). - Sustainability is just a buzzword. The biggest riser was a procurement manager in sustainability who ended up on the board but had no idea about what sustainability was, just signed nice looking contracts. Sustainability targets get scrapped if the idiots in Q&A do not understand the processes. Projects which are supposed to be priority because they are important for sustainability get dumped if they don't have good payback. - Constant pressure to cut costs means frequent changes to production or sourcing or recipes of known beers. These can never lead to noticeable changes in flavor but, after multiple iterations over the years, are likely to mean the flavor of a Budweiser or a Stella Artois will not be the same as 10 years ago. - The debacle around the trans influencer. Either you embrace it or not. Stay in your lane. Everybody knows you want to make money. Stop pretending otherwise. Just make the beer and stop pretending to be what you are not (BTW, I knew of several gay people in our global HQs but not one was open about it because they didn't feel the environment favored it).
