Pros

-good pay when you consider overtime -you can take courses from internal resources to learn everything about brewing and packaging -free beer!!! -you can not get fired unless you are really bad at your job There are excellent technical people from the trades who have made it to engineering and maintenance manager roles in Houston and are a great group of people. Sadly, they aren’t given money to fix anything.

Cons

-the way you’re perceived by others matters more than your knowledge of the process. -they murder creativity -declining equipment yet expect like new equipment performance -the more you know the more you do without pay increases -bully environment -as soon as your manager sees you’re smarter than them they push you down Delirious ideas from corporate drive all major decisions. It’s a business in decline and it’s slowly sinking. They will not be the kings of beer under In-Bev’s ownership. You do not actually engineer anything here so don’t look to design any process fixes.

Pros

The Anheuser-Busch name carries weight and looks great on a résumé. There are talented, passionate people at the individual contributor level who genuinely care about their work. The product portfolio is strong, and there are opportunities to collaborate with major brands.

Cons

Leadership often prioritizes appearances and politics over people and performance. There’s a lack of transparency and communication from upper management, leading to confusion, low morale, and burnout. Micromanagement and favoritism are common, stifling creativity and initiative. Workload expectations are unrealistic, and mental health or work-life balance are not genuinely supported. Promises of growth and development are rarely fulfilled—leadership talks about “culture,” but decisions consistently contradict it. Poor cross-departmental collaboration; teams work in silos and compete rather than cooperate.
