Pros

Coworkers can be really cool, discounted swag, it was interesting work, free beer but you better like bud and Busch because you can only get what they offer and you can easily wait in lines for an hour or more to pick it up, standing desks, cafeteria and Starbucks on site, cool events post-covid, free insurance, secure parking, you can get good experience with the trial by fire training you’ll get, on site gym

Cons

-the “merit” raise culture is problematic; it’s luck of the draw on role/assignment mixed with “oh crap the new 24 year old makes more than the person who’s been here 5 years!” -they’ve allowed DEI to become a “checkbox” -your career will be defined by the luck of who you report to and if you get senior management exposure to the right senior management -bureaucracy, the global staff are out of touch, the IT is horrible -you have to live and breath AB, put your head down and work, never question -you will be expected to use your personal resources with no compensation including phone and potentially even computer all day -the “no office” culture is not for everyone and WFH is actively discouraged in some groups but embraced by others so don’t bank on that -people seemed to feel stuck -if you don’t come from a manufacturing background(on the floor), you have limited options to advance your career

Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review and for your time spent at AB. We're always looking for what stands out to both current and former employees, and while it sounds like you enjoyed many aspects of the business during your time with us, we understand and appreciate your transparency. Managing our costs tightly helps free up resources that support sustainable and profitable top-line growth, and we always encourage our managers to look for solutions to reduce bureaucracy within our teams. Additionally, we strive to emphasize meritocracy, where our colleagues are paid based on their performance, and are rewarded for their teamwork through the achievement of shared targets. We appreciate your feedback and have shared it with our internal teams and wish you the best in your future.
