Toxic work environment with unprofessional treatment
Pros
Thursday only work half day and friday off
Cons
My experience working at Pan American Pain Institute was extremely disappointing. In my experience, the work environment was toxic and lacked respect for employees. During my time there, I witnessed and personally experienced bullying, intimidation, humiliation, and unprofessional treatment that negatively affected my well-being. Much of this behavior came from the office manager, who is also the physician's wife. What concerned me most was the physician's response after he approached me to ask whether everything was okay. When I respectfully shared my concerns about the ongoing disrespect and treatment of both myself and other staff members, no meaningful action was taken. Instead of addressing the issues or fostering a respectful workplace, the behavior continued and, in my experience, became even worse after my concerns were brought forward. I would not recommend this practice as a place of employment. Every employee deserves to be treated with dignity, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Employees were at times humiliated in front of scheduled patients, creating an unprofessional and demoralizing work environment. I hope my experience serves as a warning to anyone considering employment at this facility. I was told that approximately twenty employees had resigned within a one-year period before I joined, and ultimately I also made the difficult decision to leave. I encourage prospective employees to carefully consider this information before accepting a position.
