      Pros

      - Smartest people you'll ever meet and work with - Excellent work-life balance giving you time to think and develop ideas of your own - You'll learn about how our universe and its various physical aspects can be modeled and simulated within a computer (maybe an overstatement but that is the future trend - a realistic engineering VR environment) - Fun place to work with people from all over the globe, excellent work culture - Lots of Math, Physics, Engineering, and Computer Science! - Satisfactory compensation (for the work-life balance) - Real work is accomplished by most folks with less inclination towards politics and processes - Customer is priority, revenues are high

      Cons

      -Top-down management approach can cause rigidity issues -Growth is conservative, job openings are rare and only for the best in R&D - Benefits may be below par compared to other technology companies - Career advancement opportunities are limited

      Pros

      The team I worked in was really good. Exposure to new technologies and software practices and tools were a revelation. Especially since I had joined as a fresher from college. Lot of good code to look at and interactions with teams in multiple locations was really interesting and challenging experience. A conscious desire to learn more about the product and improve it was there in the team and bugs were routinely kept low. Important design decisions were healthily questioned and followed up on.

      Cons

      People should definitely teach more here. Too often there is just a feeling of being assigned work. A conscious need to interact and mentor young developers needs to exist. Sometimes a feeling of stagnation in a product might occur.

      Pros

      1. Closely knit family of employees. Friendly and relaxing, yet not so laid back work culture. Well-balanced and excellent facilities. Get to build a high-tech network of people for a lifetime. 2. You get to work with the smartest researchers and developers. Work-life balance is given importance here. 3. Excellent software product with focus on customer.

      Cons

      1. Low turnover of employees cause lack of growth. Most employees never leave the company once they enter ANSYS. This could be due to lack of enough competitors for career transition. 2. Management is not good enough.
