I was hired for a position and the hiring manager had a family emergency that forced an early retirement. Due to this there was restructuring and my experience and expertice wasn't needed by the new managers vision for the department so my position was eliminated. This was unfortunate and should have been handled better from management. The new manager had my team added to his responsibilities so he didn't want to change things and create more work for himself.
