Great place to work, sense of community

Pros

If you like the higher education environment, this is a great small campus (one building) made up mostly of commuter students getting graduate degrees. People who work at AUNE really tend to love the place and appreciate their colleagues. Very progressive vibe and culture.

Cons

Just the usual higher education problems -- governance issues, being part of a larger university structure, paying everyone a living wage, etc.

Pros

Great faculty and staff, diverse student body, wonderful alumni, and especially in my case, a one-of-a-kind library (that's where I worked).

Cons

Administration is overpaid for little work in an institution that is always on the verge of bankruptcy. The physical plant, again I'll use the word "always," one step behind what needs to be done. The institution as a whole tends to pride itself on offerings such as co-op they bill as innovative. True, that was innovative...40 years ago.
