Pros

The training provided and time given to study professional qualifications is second to none. Have access to a huge depth and breadth of facilities and peoples expertise and the agile working and flexibility offered makes going to work seem less like a 9-5 job.

Cons

Salary is below market standard and the company are reluctant to offer bonuses. Due to the role level system it can sometimes prove difficult to get promotions and therefore substantial pay increases.

Pros

At least you have a job / salary

Cons

Management who are not up to the job of actually managing people. Poor career progression (preventing capable employees from developing and moving in to better roles) - this is promised at interview and never delivered on. Lack of support for those who are off on sick leave or have a disability. Relocating staff to regional offices Lack of a proper welcome / introduction/ training programme for new employees. Redundancies - getting rid of good, loyal staff because of cutbacks, then employing new staff who are cheaper and less knowledgeable in the same roles. Managers lack of knowledge of theirs was staff job roles. Graduates are given priority over other staff with regard to training and career progression. Micro-management.
