Pros

Exposure to talented brokers. Exceptional in market awareness and getting deals done. Get a market wide view of events. Looks good on your CV.

Cons

No one to teach you. You are on your own. Everyone has their own agenda. (ie everyone wants to be a broker and the management of the team does not) Good actuaries leave the team one way or another. Not a place for an Actuary to start a career. There are no famous actuaries in the team. Within analytics it can be unprofessional.

Pros

The people I work with a cross the US and world are great.

Cons

Continually work is pushed down when there are broken programs etc. How much time do they think we can create since we already have a day job.
