Pros

Big name multi-national insurance brokerage. The pay and benefits are somewhat fair.

Cons

Almost no growth or upward mobility potential. Once you're in a position that best suits Aon's needs, that's it. Outsourced IT and client services are hurting this company.

Pros

You get experience to put on your resume and exposure to Fortune 500 clients.

Cons

Aon is not good at promoting from with-in. Although they advertise being able to work from home when the job allows it, that is not practice. Women are treated as tokens and not true partners.

Pros

Decent benefits, good locations, quality clients.

Cons

Branch managers and rank & file account managers frequently don't comply with corporate standards. Constant in-fighting among senior branch managers. Gimicky corporate initiatives that waste time and often fade away. Dishonest employee performance review system. Degraded HR department with unhelpful managers located far away. Corporate IT is missing in action if you're not with the right office - it often takes weeks or months to repair computer problems because IT is outsourced. Branch offices and departments often don't communicate very well with each other.
