Pros

Aon offers diverse work experiences and access to industry resources, providing opportunities for skill development.

Cons

I worked at Aon Global Risk Services for a year and a half, and unfortunately, my experience was very negative due to what I perceived as racial and gender discrimination. As a Latina woman in a predominantly white male environment, I felt marginalized and unsupported. Very few women were working there, which was glaringly evident in how I was treated. I often found myself without substantial work assignments, making me feel like an outsider. The lack of communication and support from my colleagues was disheartening. Instead of receiving guidance and encouragement, I was talked down to and ignored. I had to strive to keep up with my tasks constantly, but it felt like I was doing it all alone without any assistance from my team. To make matters worse, I was laid off from the blue on the day I was leaving to visit a client for work. Adding insult to injury, just two weeks later, they posted my job again. This was not just about the workload; it was about the broader issue of discrimination against women and Latinas. The company must seriously address these issues to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all employees.

Pros

My advice is that you run, not walk, run in the opposite direction!!!

Cons

Racist companies like Aon are easy to pick out. Look at the faces of management. No diversity? Well then, you’re not going to have opportunities for advancement. Only white people are groomed for advancement and promoted at Aon. Minorities are kept at lower level jobs. Also, white people related to upper management and/or white people sleeping with someone in upper management. I never knew insurance could be so racist and sleazy.
