Pros

Company is a large name and has many different business areas you can be exposed to

Cons

The first thing to know is that this company is starting to end remote work. They call it "smart working" but it is really a RTO mandate. Two days in office required so far and discussions are already happening about switching to three days in office. This company has been on travel restrictions and a hiring freeze for the entire year. Company recently laid off a good chunk of people, doing everything they cold to not use the term layoffs. This was done with such poor communication, one manager did not realize one of their reports was laid off until they didn't show up for a meeting and had to read their out of office message stating they had been let go. As the company is letting go of people, they are still hosting town halls bragging about 9% organic revenue growth and stating that they are growing their staff and dedicated to their employees. They are either lying about how well they are doing or they are doing that well and still laying people off for the sole purpose of improving their share values. During these layoffs, HR was completely insensitive and offered no flexibility to anyone affected. Long story short, the company's leadership either thinks the company is going to have a downturn and they are letting people go proactively or the company is already in a downturn and they are not communicating that to employees.

Pros

I can't begin to say enough good about this organization. From the moment I joined the organization, I felt welcomed and valued as an employee. AON's commitment to fostering a positive work environment is truly commendable. First and foremost, the company culture at AON is outstanding. The emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, and respect is evident in every aspect of the organization. Colleagues are supportive, approachable, and always willing to lend a helping hand. The management team is genuinely invested in the growth and development of their employees, providing ample opportunities for learning and advancement. One aspect that sets AON apart is their dedication to employee well-being. The company offer comprehensive benefits packages, including health and wellness programs, flexible work arrangements, and a healthy work-life balance. AON truly understands the importance of taking care of their employees, which in turn fosters a motivated and engaged workforce. Coming from one of the worst organizations I have worked for, culture wise, internally bully mentality (Starts with an M and ends with ERCER - in Houston) Switching to AON was a breath of fresh air - I finally feel supported, challenged, and motivated to excel in my role. I highly recommend AON to anyone seeking a fulfilling and rewarding career. The company's value, culture, and commitment to employee well-being makes it an exceptional place to work. Iam grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the AON Houston team and look forward to a long and successful journey with this remarkable organization.

Cons

Each review I leave from previous organizations, I feel like I have always had a few cons.... I honestly, for the first time of my career can't think of anything negative about AON.... I am truly happy and believe I found my home, and where I will retire in 25 years.
