Decent Pay Opportunity, Useless Management

Pros

Decent pay and benefits. Call center environment. Working with students enjoyable. If management was better trained, it might be a better place to work.

Cons

Unreasonable pressure to force students to go to school. They view enrollment as a business rather than an education.

Pros

I've been here for over 15 years, and it was great at the beginning. A few dedicated employees who really want to deliver to our customers are all that remain.

Cons

The company has become so large and burdened with bureaucracy that few projects are successful or even deployed (IT and Business). Vague strategy from executives, and really top-heavy. There are many Managers, Sr Manager, Directors and Sr Directors who don't even have people reporting to them, they've just been here a long time so they were promoted.

Pros

Benefits and free tuition. That's about it, I can't name anymore than the two I just wrote.

Cons

This organization is going downhill. It started out as a great place to work when I started in 2011. Now it's just production expectations that aren't realistic. The operations department don't care that employees try to focus on getting student files right. They only care about production and getting employees to push files out even if half of them are done incorrectly. The employees quality don't suffer much so many don't care. Management knows how compliance driven the department is but they don't get rid of the bad ones. They think they the employees will get better but they don't. Very low morale as well.
