      Flexible work schedule and environment

      Cons

      The managers do not appreciate other managers who are experienced and well educated. There are a lot of employees with no experience and little formal education. Unfortunately they are all threatened by the educated and experienced employees. Most qualified employees get frustrated and leave. Management promotions at all levels are based on relationships only, and not results. It is sad the organization is run by folks that have not earned their role.

      Pros

      None! There was at beginning but after new regional voice who was only 31 brought in the moral begs to go down. Turnover became too high.

      Cons

      Managers must be kissing corporate butt to move up. Successful recruitment doesn't mean anything. Only what matters is kissing manager butt.

      Premise: start-up within a large company. Reality: bloat, bureaucracy, lack of focus and leadership

      Pros

      Tackling an important market segment: higher ed, jobs, skills. Good people, great location (downtown SF). The product team members were smart and hardworking. There's a huge disconnect between this 'start-up' group and the main organization. And the acquisition and integration of a small (real) startup made the situation more complicated, confusing and disorganized.

      Cons

      Weak Senior management. Lots of wasted effort, time, money while they try to get their act together.
