      The varierty of work used to be great, new technologies.

      Hell lot of internal polictics, doesn't matter how hard you work , you will go higher only if you are pet of management

      Pros

      Nice work environment, great colleagues pretty good benefits. Culture, at least in my department is good. Immeidate managers and directors are really nice people, but there are a lot of prima donnas around.

      Cons

      Lack of leadership at the top, constant talk of layoffs, disconnect between top management and what actually gets done. No vision for the future, it seems like they're just trying to manage the stock price and not the company. People who are good are leaving, causing quite a brain drain.

      Pros

      This is a large IT employer with some state of the art hardware and software products and tools. If you end up on the right team it's a great place to work. Free education is a huge benefit as well. This is a good place to start your IT career, get educated and then move on.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, you're not likely to end up on the right team. Typically, there is a reorg every 18 months at which time you have a 50/50 chance of "succeeding elsewhere". You will NOT be mentored to improve your skills and move up. You WILL be used up and then replaced. Directors and VPs spend most of their day trying to nuke their peers.
