It's a VERY US-centric company. I worked in their London office. There were MANY communication challenges in trying to explain to our US colleagues how things need to be done in Europe, because the regulatory and legal rules in Europe are different. Often, response we received was that if we want something done right, we should fix it ourselves. There is lack of appreciation for non-investment staff. There is a feeling of clear segregation between investment vs non-investment staff. The firm treats the investment professionals very well, while they disregard the "back office" functions. The non-investment departments receive less hiring budget and are not trained as well as the investment departments.
