Opportunities for advancement are limited if not willing to relocate to another branch/office

Pros

Hours align more with traditional banker hours. Usually Sundays are closed. Lots of holidays off. Salary paid even at entry level. Bi Weekly pay.

Cons

Not enough sick/personal time. Old fashioned, computer software very outdated. Too much paper trail in the era of technology. Hard to advance, people have been sitting on positions for more than 20 years, in some cases. Horrible benefits package, pretty much non existent. Cheaper to pay for your doctor out of pocket.
