Pros

Great company to work for, with a solid culture and vision, great benefits and employee support tools and resources.

Cons

Mostly overly worked employees. The company has become stingy with bonuses and rewards over the years, especially for those working at entry level positions. Behind the curtain and the company’s positive message, there is a cut-throat business where numbers and micromanagement matter over the well being of its employees. Career opportunities have just recently started to become more available, however moving within the company is exceptionally difficult unless personal contacts are reaching out to you. The overall feeling is that growth is not promoted or encouraged as much as within other companies of the same size. If working from home has taught us anything, is that management has been proven useless, with few exceptions. The traditional hierarchy of AR is mostly inefficient, with the head of it dodging hot issues within the department.

Pros

Stock price growth is the main reason to work here.

Cons

Toxic work environment due to racism, bro culture and lack of transparency related to the decisions that impact employee's work.

Pros

Great benefits, stock options, great employee discounts on products. That’s about where it ends.

Cons

Pay is less compared to smaller companies doing twice as much volume. They say “ their benefits off set the pay”, raises are trash even pre COVID. You got MAX 2.5% did not matter if you were a top performer or don’t know your head from your butt. They would then give you RSU that take up to 4 years to vest. You get new RSU every review cycle. So that awesome number you see in your account you will only have a factor of it and when you leave all RSU that have not vested are given back to Apple. Everything is a go go go, they always have staffing issues and never bring in people that ever see this world and expect production is going to double since they doubled staffing. Most of the new contractor were more skilled after 90 days than FTE that have been there for 3+ years. The managers have zero technical knowledge. They spend zero time with their employees. I talked to my manager once a month if that. They won’t only come find you if you did something wrong. They would never praise on great work and always try to ruin you for something that happened 18 months ago. It was always re brought up constantly and they never got over it. If you were not in the inner circle you were over worked and held to unrealistic expectations. The “Apple culture” that everyone thinks there is all from retail. The corporate side has zero team work and nepotism running wild through its ranks. Stay in retail and grow on that side do not come to the IS&T side. You will get burnt out and learn to resent managers.
