Part Time Employment, Full Time and Lasting Benefits
Pros
I worked for Apple part time for just under a year, I enjoyed most the environment and overall culture of the store and company as a whole. Diversity and inclusion is a big point of what I look for in employers so to go somewhere and see it on display from top to bottom was nice. Benefits are great, you have options even as a part time employee for health care coverage and time off. Discounts of course and stock options that remain even after you leave. All in all I had an excellent experience, only left because I relocated for a new full time role. They have a ton of room for movement once you're in and a lot of resources available to assist with enhancing your skills to take you to the next level. Entry level pay was more than I'd expected as well.
Cons
I only ever had issues with scheduling which I was usually able to resolve through discussion with management. I had a few coworkers have issues getting accommodations for school schedules. When I did reach out to corporate for guidance on one issue, I was told the store has discretion on how time off requests and other scheduling issues are handled so it's just best to be open with what you need to the store management and work with others in the same role to see about schedule swaps.
