get to understand industry and a proper place to learn the skills to run your own company if you decide to

a bit competitive and need to be a sycophant in order to get ahead or just anything to go your way.

Pros

The managers were very professional and understanding. If they saw employees about to get overworked they would intervene and aid. Most managers in restaurants don't like to get their hands dirty.

Cons

Disgruntled employees. As with any restaurant environment tension and stress was high coworkers could become angry quickly. It's nothing personal but dealing with hungry people is not a walk in the park.
