Pros

Customer interactions make job fun

Cons

Managers are low level uneducated tenured servers who create a toxic work place. If you play class pet you will be treated better than other employees. If they don’t like you bc you speak up they will mess with your schedule as punishment with out saying anything and if they want you out they silent fire you but torturing you until you quit. I’ve watched management escalate situations that turned into physical altercations bc of lack of skill. They also make less then the servers so really don’t understand the transition other then just to hold the title and be someone that’s above the other employees.

Pros

Tips. Extra shifts. Relatively easy some days.

Cons

Sometimes no tips at all. Fights. Drunks. Guests are rude as a mf. Long hours. Dead tired before you get home. Cops wait for you to rush home at midnight if you close. Little respect. Often taking shifts from people who are lazy involuntarily, however this was the past.
