Pros

Food trucks are on site every couple of months.

Cons

Our site was recently acquired by Applied Composites at the end of 2020. We received bare minimum compensation during annual reviews, despite having a record 2020 year in revenue for our site. However we have had 30+ high quality posters installed over the past month throughout the site, just to be reminded of where we work I suppose... New office chairs have been sitting in a meeting room, unassembled, for the past 4 months along with several microwaves left over from the Chriatmas raffle. Managment was previously present and engaging, now they are tied up in meetings all throughout the day and seem beaten down.

Thank you for taking the time to review Applied Composites. It is important for us to hear what is going well and where we can improve. 2020 was a very challenging year for many and the ownership change for the site specifically added to that uncertainty. Fortunately, as you noted, the site had a record year and continued to operate and grow despite the global pandemic. We can tell that you are proud of the site’s accomplishments and we are thrilled to have you as part of the Applied Composites family. Applied Composites is a diverse company and as a whole experienced market challenges. We periodically review our compensation packages across the market and strive to create an environment where employees feel fulfilled in their career and rewarded. As a current team member, please feel free to reach out to your supervisor or your local site HR team to discuss your concerns further. We are happy to read that you enjoy the employee food events that we frequently have! We have many great accomplishments to celebrate and we are going to try to do more of these. We look forward to the coming days when we can safely gather in larger groups. Finally, we are proud of the ways in which the teams have adapted their work environments to be safe during these challenging times. Unfortunately, this has changed many otherwise in-person engagements to virtual meetings. With a change in ownership, there is typically a transition period during the integration, which has taken some of the management teams’ attention. The good news is that the team and culture at the site remains intact. You may have seen the announcement on our intranet regarding the skip level meetings that we are kicking off on Thursday (4/29). We want to hear from each of our employees about how we can improve and what is going well! Thanks again for your feedback. We want to continue to be a great place to work and hire exceptional individuals to join our team. Please know that we always enjoy speaking with team members to find ways to enrich our collective employee experience. If you have any additional concerns or would like to further discuss with us what you are seeing at the facility in Los Alamitos we encourage you to connect with your local site HR team.
