      Pros

      Use of a wide variety of skills required.

      Cons

      Overworked, under paid and under appreciated. Top management betrays employees by NOT keeping private meetings confidential. Work is intermittent due to outside customers requirements. Upper management consistently betrays its employees. Upper management needs to practice what they preach.

      Pros

      Small company feel, you know everyone in the company after just a bit. Plenty of customers to work with and get to know intimately. Great variety of work for engineers, designers, etc.

      Cons

      Small company growing pains mostly. Many different internal systems that drive processes. Some old school mentalities that are good at times but contrary to advancement at others.

      Pros

      Majority of the people at this company were Asian, mostly Vietnamese - nice people and friendly environment. Holiday bonus and year-end bonus for employees who met and exceeded the expectations were generous, and it was not just for top management, which was definitely a plus, because I know at some companies only exempt/salary employees receive bonus, but not the hourly employees. Applied Engineering was definitely better on this part. Employee appreciation were also expressed through seasonal BBQ party and summer picnic when the business was doing well. The company is a private/family owned business, and you can definitely feel that atmosphere.

      Cons

      Micro-management restrained employees' innovation and motivation and added unnecessary stress at work.
