Pros

This is a good company to start with if you are a new engineer. After a few years of experience, find another company.

Cons

Where do I start? Company run by Said Hilal and his relatives. Upper management business philosophy and culture sounds good but doesn't reflect mid-level management practices. Extremely high turn-over rate - new engineers thrown into projects with little or no experience of engineering principles and practices. Company has managed to escape the scrutiny of the FDA for years until now. The upcoming storm from the FDA will either put this company out of business or company will get sold.

Failed Leadership

Pros

By working at this company I was able to meet lots of friendly, smart and hardworking team members. Their summer picnic was always family orientated and fun to attend. The picnic was well organized and a great way that the company tried to show appreciation for their team members. If you have no other options, you could benefit by getting your foot in the door for medical experience.

Cons

If you work here or are thinking of employment, you must beware of the family politics. The employees who are family are often high on power and incompetent. These family employees are high up in the company and fire team members emotionally and without thought. I have seen a lot of good people, who have developed amazing products let go for no valid reason. I worry that this company will lose all the competent team members because lack of good leaders who recognize and appreciate smart, hardworking people. Pay is low as others have stated. They pay family and a lucky few mindless robots strategically by giving stock options and high bonuses only to themselves.

Talent being wasted

Pros

There are some great people that are eager to learn and lend a helping hand. Everyone outside of management is a realist and works extremely hard. Buildings are nice, and you get lots of discounts in rsm. Best thing I can say is it's a good place to start and a dream place for process and manufacturing engineers

Cons

Smoke and mirrors. They give a vibe that everything is fine but it isn't. Management says everyone should do everything when that just doesn't work. And the pay is terrible, even by lower industry standards. Benefits aren't good. There are talented engineers that are reduced to pushing paperwork. Nepotism is at large over there and it is the most oblivious company I have ever worked for. Does not know how to manage its employees and unless you brown nose and completely drink the koolaid, they will identify you as 'not fitting within applied culture' and take action. I think this place is good to start your career at but for heaven's sake please don't spend the rest of your life over there unless you are related to the hilal family.
