Good from the outside, not so good from the inside

Pros

They are willing to hire people with little to no experience. People are willing to help if you ask for help. The company tries to give back to the community.

Cons

Pay is very low and not competitive. Raises are very low and often delayed. They are willing to give you a promotion and more responsibilities but will not increase your pay. They will hire inexperienced people for management positions when they have fully qualified people to promote.

I've been working for Applied Medical for nearly 5 years and have zero intention of leaving. They treat their reps with respect, give us plenty of room to grow and have a laid-back approach to managing. As long as you work hard, you're given a lot of autonomy. Best company I've ever worked for.

Solid way to break in/ Pay is not competitive

Pros

Solid products that tend to be cheaper then competitors.

Cons

Low base pay and you can't count on commission because if you have a good quarter, they jack your quota up so high you can't hit it. Reps come and go a lot because the pay isn't competitive in med device industry.
