Job security, ESOP, supposedly once you advance enough you can start bringing in your own grants etc.

Cons

Sexist work environment (6 women out of 50+ employees at my location, 5 of us left while I was there!), very poor management, nitpicky time-keeping, no hybrid flexibility, low pay.

Great compensation. Great benefits. Variety of diverse projects.

Cons

Government contracts. All scientists/engineers are steered into marketing, so if you don't like that you might find the work unsatisfying. Cleared work is a pain in the butt.
