Pros

Frank Zinghini, CEO, is someone of high integrity. He values both his employees and clients. I am grateful to be able to work with some of the most intelligent, humble, passionate and positive co-workers who strive for excellence everyday. This is a company where you can grow day after day.

Cons

I don't really have one right now.

Pros

Very interesting, diverse work. Every three to six months, you'll be on a new project which will often mean new (to you) technology. Challenging to ramp up with existing code bases and business domains. Casual and friendly work environment.

Cons

Office building is old, and is schizophrenic about heating and cooling. Space is a little cramped (because many new employees have joined). Very little paid time off.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoy working here. As you know, that diversity of work is one of the founding principles of the company: we want our engineers to gain a lot of diverse experience, and to never be bored. Even when we have long-term projects, we do our best to move people around or split their time across different projects to keep that diversity up. I realize the building has its issues, but that's the price of being here in Northport village. When they built this in 1857 they didn't anticipate having 40-something of us writing code. Most people really like being here in Northport (way better than an industrial park someplace), so we're working on the crowding part by looking at adding on space in a nearby building.

Pros

Technically interesting work. Management is very technically astute. I worked here in the past and it is a great company to work for, highly recommended. Learned a lot from the projects I worked on. Good place for interns to start out, many have begun their careers here.

Cons

You will need to keep up with technology, not really a downside.

It's always nice to hear things like this. We don't know who this is, but I'm guessing he or she started as an intern since they mention our intern program. We're quite proud of it: many interns have converted to full-time careers here; some have been here for more than ten years. And yes: we will challenge you to keep up with technology, because in this industry if you don't work at staying current, you can get stale really fast! Thank you for the kind words, and we wish you well!
