Overworked and undervalued

Pros

Great teammates who became close friends. Travel stipend was a huge perk.

Cons

Creative roles at the company seem to be undervalued and not really “design” work. You work long hours and take on a lot of tasks that should be done by other departments but it gets put on designers because the other teams are “too busy.” A big reason for this stems from leadership - most team leads overseeing the designers had little to no design/creative experience so they weren’t able to help troubleshoot issues and most of the time didn’t resolve any problems; they found temporary solutions that eventually led to more work.
