Great time to join the team

Pros

Within marketing, there is a ton of autonomy to try out new tactics and increase our KPIs. If you're curious about a strategy, you will have the support to try it with minimal barriers. With a new product launch in the works, it's a particularly exciting time to be on the team. Everything from messaging, naming, and positioning can be revisited with some creative ideas. Apptimize comes with the standard startup perks- unlimited PTO, free food, professional development budget, gym benefits, etc.

Cons

Just like any startup, there will be change and it will be confusing and require some adjustment.

Pros

+ Troops on the ground. Apptimize deserves 1 star but the people make it 2. The people actually doing the work that leadership take ALL credit for are fantastic. They work incredibly hard and are a pleasure to be around. Made it worth coming to work. I have made lifelong friends. Probably the only upshot of this place. + Food. Lunch has always been provided and always good. + Office location. Great location to commute from South Bay. + Life lessons. I've learned what to avoid when looking at companies. And that does it for the pros.....

Cons

Does this box have a text limit? I start with the big ones... - Leadership. Absolute dumpster fire. I don't know why but it all seemed great when I started, maybe I drank the coolade too soon. Optimism was high, energy levels were great, some kind of leadership plan was communicated. It appears that the CEO doesn't really care about the company or employees and just wants to basically put processes in place that allow her not to work. I'm not saying she's lazy, she just not build to run companies. Other senior leaders take credit for the work of others and run from ownership of issues. Culture and performance loss is attributed to other which is an absolute lie. Everyone who has left/been fired MADE the culture. The only culture left appears to be that of fear and resentment. - Career Opportunity. Work hard, get rewarded. Yea right. Work hard, have someone else not think that is good enough, throw lofty, floaty words and targets without realizing the absurdness of it all. Synergize on that and we will circle back off line. They actually talk like that. - Downright lies. People being fired as they are not a cultural fit. Nonsense. Zero transparency. I feel awful as I once wrote a glowing review. The review I earlier wrote was true but dang, things can change in a hot minute. I apologize to anyone who started in the last 3-6 months as I feel I duped you by not being honest. My advice now? GTFO. Future employees - you are free to make your own choices. Just take into account that the 1 star reviews are real and the 5 stars are more than likely fakes. Current employees - get out. Its eye opening how much fun and inspiring working for a REAL company, with REAL leadership, with REAL vision is actually like.
