Pros

Aptean really puts you on the fast track when it comes to career development. They just launched career development plans for every employee which is awesome. I have learned so much in such a short time frame and I have never seen any other company investing so much into training (e.g. boot camps, management training). What you learn at Aptean in one year would take you five years easily at any other place

Cons

Lot's of changes in the past but the new Exec team has a solid strategy in place which has already proven to work.

Pros

This is a good place to go if your looking to get into the corporate world for the first time. Don't expect to stay long. Take what you can, then get out of Dodge.

Cons

Absolutely no upward mobility. Don't expect to get anywhere in this company without a personal recommendation from one of the SVPs or higher, regardless of your skills and experience. The nepotism in this company is out of control. You better be part of the "good ol' boy club" if you want management to even give you the time of day. They'll try to lure you in with a lower salary, but the promise of a bonus. Well, don't expect that bonus. The company adjusted their EBITDA targets after the year closed to insure no one got their bonus this year. Do you like good healthcare? Too bad. That's gone too. I expect that next year's health plan will be even worse. Retirement plan? A total joke. You have to work for the company for 5 years before you are fully vested. The funds are all high cost and poorly put together. There is a Roth option, but that's the only good thing the company 401k plan has going for it. Seriously don't waste your time here unless you go in knowing this is a stepping stone job. All the good people are leaving this company and what's left are the people looking for something else or waiting on a better opportunity. To round it out, there are no cost of living increases here so don't expect to ever get a raise.
