      Good People, Company in Transition

      Pros

      Company culture at the working level is good. People are willing to help and collaborate in a team environment. Work is interesting. Salary and benefits are competitive. Office in Troy recently redesigned. Lots of open space, natural light, etc.

      Cons

      Company is in a state of transition. Frequent layoffs and budget cuts which force constant changing of goals and direction at the working level. No clear direction from upper management as to what Aptiv wants to be when it grows up. Off-shoring most of their sw development and engineering work. Trying to get people back in the office full time, which is fine, but they won't just come out with a mandate, very passive aggressive statements which leads to confusion and resentment.

      None that I can think of.

      Cons

      They fire people all the time, their pay is low, work life balance is awful. Definitely have a “boys club”. CEO down to senior management is AWFUL. Kevin Clark is the worst.
